Cowboy Camp
September 21-23 2007

 No experience required.

*Features Cattle Drive, Cutting and Roping Clinics, Ranch Rodeo and Team Penning events

Open to all ages.

Mission is to teach cowboying skills for a fun filled and informative involvement

Option of horse and equipment supplied if needed. $450 if horse and equipment is needed and $300 if participant comes with their own horse.

*Three  ranch style meals provided each day.

Experienced cowboys from OK, SD, WY and ND teach a curriculum consisting of: Roping fundamentals, horse and cattle sense and developing cow sense in your horse.

Hands on activities include a cattle drive horseback, branding,  roping and team penning.

Tuition includes an entry into the ranch rodeo and team penning.

Cowboy entertainment provided Friday night.

Buffalo Roast Friday night.

 

 

Instruction offered:
    
• Cowology - learn how to read cattle. How to move cattle with the least resistance. How to position your horse to effectively drive cattle.
 
• Fundamentals of roping - the basics of roping will be taught as well as practised. Professional ropers will give their insights on how to aquire roping skills.
 
• Developing the cow horse - expert trainners will demonstrate and instruct on how to get the most "cow" out of your horse.

* Expert cowboys will teach team penning tactics and strategies

Rules and Regulations:
1. Eighteen years of age and under must have signed notarized parental consent.
2. Tuition is $450.00 without horse and equipment ($300 with horse and equipment) for three day school and cattle drive. Tuition includes  entry into Ranch Rodeo and team pennng competition
3. Deposit of _____ tuition and Accommodations package must be received by September 1st, 2007. Reservations on a first come first served basis.
